On 24th October 2013 in Split, Croatia, a symposium took place concerning Polish experience in using EU resources for environmental protection. The initiator and the main organizer of the symposium was the Honorary Consul Mr. Pawel Wlodarczyk. Croatian Chamber of Economy, County Chamber Split and Polish – Croatian Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Cracow were his cooperators. The symposium was of a great interest to the Croats. Before noon, members of the Polish delegation met with the Prefect of Split-Dalmatia County, Mr. Zlatko Ževrnja, and his assistants.
On 7th October 2013, during a meeting with the President of the City of Cracow Jacek Majchrowski, Honorary Consul Pawel Wlodarczyk discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the field of promoting Croatian culture in Cracow. Among the discussed subjects were: the last meeting with the President of Zagreb, the agreement between Zagreb and Cracow, the organization of Croatian Days in Cracow and the promotion of the culture of the city of Zagreb next year, as well as the naming of one of the streets or squares using Croatian name. The President treated the suggestions with favor and expressed full support for the implementation of the discussed projects.
On 2nd October 2013, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Croatia Mr. Pawel Wlodarczyk visited Podkarpackie Voivodeship, where he met with the Vice Chairman Mr. Bogdan Romaniuk and the Vice President of the City of Rzeszow, Mr. Stanislaw Stanko. On the same day he also met with Prof. Marta Wierzbieniec, the director of Artur Malawski Philharmonic in Rzeszow, and with Mr. Krzysztof Staszewski, the president of the Association for Development and Promotion of Podkarpacie "Pro Carpathia". During all the meetings discussions concerning possibilities of economic, touristic and cultural cooperation of Podkarpackie Voivodeship and Rzeszow with Zupania (Zadar Province) took place. The Consul was accompanied by Mr. Janusz Ramski, member of the board, and director Andrzej Trojan from the Polish – Croatian Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
For the second time, from a school in the town of Kastav near Rijeka, Croatian youth came visiting to Nieciecza, Poland. The visit took place in September 2013 and lasted for one week (23rd -30th). Earlier this year, in June, Polish youth from a school in Nieciecza was visiting Kastav. International youth exchange has been taking place on the initiative of the Honorary Consul Pawel Wlodarczyk.
On 17th September 2013 in Zagreb, on the initiative of the Honorary Consul Pawel Wlodarczyk, a meeting with the Mayor of the City of Zagreb, Mr. Milan Bandic, took place. During the meeting, The main topic that was discussed was the hitherto cooperation between the cities of Zagreb and Cracow. The conversation also regarded renewing of the partnership agreement and modification of its contractual provisions updating the current state.
